I can't believe the quality of the food at the Rhododendron - gourmet cuisine for which they could charge twice what they actually do! It's especially nice in the spring and summer when you can eat in the outside cafe. The breakfast omelets are outstanding and the Mediterranean chicken dish they serve for lunch and dinner is to die for. Homemade warm breads are provided and the type of bread changes frequently so you can try a different kind with each visit. The desserts are absolutely delectable. The wait staff has always gone out of their way to give me the best dining experience. Because it is nestled in the campus of the Virginia Mason Medical Center and the Inn at Virginia Mason, I don't think it is as well-known as it should be.

Whenever you find yourself in the downtown Seattle, Washington area, there is a hidden secret eatery that is to be enjoyed. Located in the medical community on Spring Street (also known as First Hill), this restaurant has something for everyone. The fine eatery is known as The Rhododendron Restaurant.
First of all, the food is delicious. I have enjoyed meals on two separate occasions here - both for breakfast and dinner. Each time, the food was fresh and especially prepared as ordered.
